Students are not able to use cellphones or smartwatches during school hours. These must named and handed in at the school office at the beginning of each day and collected after school.
We recommend that all items of children’s clothing are clearly named. Lost Property is kept in the Hall Toilet area and is displayed outside Room 3 every Friday. At the end of the term all unclaimed clothing is disposed of thoughtfully. Please do not bring toys and other treasured items to school as they could be stolen, broken or lost.
Parents/caregivers collecting students during school hours must report to the Main Office Reception and sign them out on the tablet. Our friendly office staff will then contact the class teacher and the child will report to the Main Office Reception.
You may contact your child’s teacher through Seesaw or email. Please be considerate around the personal time of teachers. Please do not expect an instant reply. They will not reply before 8 am or after 5 pm. If your concern is urgent please contact the School Office
We prefer to complete enrolments face-to-face. Please contact the School Office to make an enrolment interview appointment with our school Principal. If your child has not been enrolled in a New Zealand school before please bring your child’s birth certificate or passport and vaccination records.
Home learning (homework) is used to support learning at school. We believe it is important that the students develop good habits around home learning. All students have some form of home learning to do, Monday to Thursday. Please see the link for more details.
The school newsletter is issued every Wednesday. The eldest child will receive a hardcopy of the newsletter. It is emailed to our parent contacts and uploaded to the school app.
Our school office is open from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm weekdays.
We are part of the Ka Ora Ka Ako Lunch in Schools programme. Students receive a free lunch every day. Please note that the programme is optional but we need to know if your child is not participating. Parents/caregivers need to provide their children with fruit or vegetables for the in-class brain break at 10 am each morning. Students also need a healthy snack for the morning tea break. Please see our Healthy Eating guidelines for more detail.
