Andre’s Engines
Andre and Austin’s dad started this as a project with the boys last year. Andre took it all on board very quickly and thoroughly enjoys working with his hands and just getting into it. Dad really wanted to teach him a few key points morally, firstly that we can fix and recycle things and don’t just need to buy new ones. And the satisfaction of seeing and feeling something working again after he fixed it with his own hands.
Dad says it keeps them both out of trouble and is a great bonding experience. They keep busy and learn important skills along the way.
They started with weed eaters mainly but have started taking on most little engines. Andre has fixed an array of things from weed eaters to rebuilding an engine on a quad bike. Dad tries to step back as much as possible and just guide him through.
Also, aside from the initial 2 machines Andre has funded this entirely on his own and continues to do so which helps him carry on toward his goal of funding himself to race in motocross.
Below is the link to his Facebook page which Dad created for him to share his journey. Check it out!
